VISITOR AND CONTRACTOR ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Welcome. Comprenew is committed to making your visit a safe and healthy one for you and others in the workplace. It is for that reason that we require all visitors and contractors to the Comprenew grounds, facilities and workplaces to abide by the following safety rules.
All visitors and contractors are required to sign-in and sign-out at the front desk and adhere to the following safety rules and requirements:
Visitors and contractors shall stay within the designated areas on the warehouse floor. Visitors must be accompanied by a Comprenew employee.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Smoking - Smoking is prohibited in the building.
Eye and Hearing Protection –Eye and Hearing protection is required in designated areas. Designated hearing protection areas are marked with appropriate signs.
Accidents, near misses, and first aid - Contractors, truck drivers and visitors are required to report all accidents, near misses, and first aid incidents to the Operations Manager.
Drugs and Alcohol - Alcoholic beverages and illicit drugs are prohibited on company property.
Guns – Contractors and Visitors are prohibited to having guns on company property.
Emergency Procedures -To report a fire or emergency, contact any Comprenew employee or dial “0” from any phone to contact the Front Desk.
Forklift Safety - Be aware and cautious of forklift traffic.
Cameras and Recording Devices - Cameras and recording devices are prohibited in the building, unless approved by management.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
Please do NOT go beyond the reception area prior to communicating with your Comprenew contact.
Contractors are expected to understand and comply will all federal, state and local safety regulations and work practices applicable to the activities they perform. These include, but are not limited to:
Storage, handling and use of flammable liquids and hazardous materials and hazardous wastes
Periodic safety inspections and housekeeping
Use of fall protection while working at heights
Following electrical safety practices and lock out /tag out procedures
Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
Proper maintenance and use of ladders and other equipment
Contractors are responsible for removing and the proper disposal of any hazardous materials or hazardous wastes utilized or generated while on-site at Comprenew.
Contractors may not dispose of any chemical or waste on-site.
Contractors must notify the Operations Manager immediately of any spills or leaks.
